With reports suggesting tension within the Indian dressing room—an issue that has reportedly concerned the BCCI—every gesture and conversation involving the senior players was placed under a microscope. One video that went viral showed Rohit engaged in what appeared to be an intense conversation with Gambhir in the dressing room.

The former India captain appeared animated, shaking his head as they seemingly discussed the game. Another clip added fuel to the ongoing rumours, showing Gambhir and Rohit chatting privately at the team hotel. At the same time, the rest of the squad, including stand-in captain KL Rahul, celebrated India’s 17-run win by cutting a cake.

As per media reports, the BCCI has taken note of the situation and is likely to call an urgent meeting before the second ODI. According to Sportstar, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, joint secretary Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, Gautam Gambhir, and chief selector Ajit Agarkar may all be present to discuss the matter.
