The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction is taking place on December 16 2025, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The one-day auction – which takes place once every year – will see some renowned players go under the hammer as well, including Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, and Liam Livingstone, who are in the auction. They were expected to fetch a considerable sum at the auction.

Meanwhile, three-time IPL champions Delhi Capitals (DC) will be there with a decent purse of ₹21.8 crore. However, the 10 teams need to fill up 77 slots with a total purse of ₹237.55 crore and among them as well.

After a long wait, DC decided to raise the paddle for David Miller, and they managed to steal him for just at his base price of ₹2 crore.
#2 Ben Duckett

Delhi Capitals snatched their second player at the base price, bidding just ₹2 crores for Ben Ducker.
#3 Auqib Dar

A fierce bidding war unfolded for Auqib Dar at the auction, with Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru showing early interest. RR exited at ₹1 crore, followed by RCB at ₹2 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad joined late, but DC stayed relentless, finally securing the all-rounder for ₹8.4 crore.

After a furious bidding war between DC and KKR, the capitals eventually bought Pathum Nissanka’s services for ₹4 crores.
