The IPL 2026 auction took place on Tuesday, December 16, in Abu Dhabi. 350 players were there in the auction as all ten franchises were involved in the bidding wars. Many big names like Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, and Liam Livingstone were in the auction, and they fetched a huge sum at the auction.
Meanwhile, three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will be there with the biggest purse of Rs 64.3 crore. However, 77 players were sold in the auction, with all 10 teams completing their 25-member quota as well.

During Auction
Ravi Bishnoi: Star India spinner had a base price of INR 2 crore. Rajasthan Royals raised the paddle and then CSK joined the counter-bid.
SRH also joined in at INR 6.20 crore. However, RR eventually bought him for INR 7.2 crore.
Sushant Mishra: RR bought him for 90 lakh.
Yash Raj Punja: RR signed him for 30 lakh.
Vignesh Puthur: RR acquired him for 30 lakh.
Ravi Singh: RCB made the opening bid for Ravi, and soon RR too joined. His base price was INR 30 lakh, and RR eventually bought him for INR 95 lakh.
Aman Rao: RR bought Aman at INR 30 lakh, his base price.
Brijesh Sharma: RR bought him for INR 30 lakh.
Adam Milne: RR and DC were interested in him, but Rajasthan got him at INR 2.40 crore.
Kuldeep Sen: RR bought him for his base price of INR 75 lakh.
