He is a star with both bat and ball. The star English all-rounder has always been the limelight in a cash-rich league of India, IPL. Ben Stokes was the most expensive buy in the consecutive years in IPL. In 2017 he was bought by whopping INR 14.5 crores by Rising Pune Supergiants followed by Rs 12.5 crores this year by Rajasthan Royals.
The Royals started their campaign this year missing out on their star player and skipper Steve Smith who is banned for a year for ball tampering issues. They lost the first match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad but did quite a well comeback in the second game at their home ground last day against Delhi Daredevils. With a rain intervened match, Royals won the game by 11 runs. Stokes is yet to show his charisma in the league.
After the game, both star players and huge buys this year of Rajasthan Royals Stokes and Undakat were seen sharing a light moment. In an interview with ESPN Cricinfo, they were seen talking about personal favorites. Unadkat asked Stokes to name his favorite Indian city and in no time the Englishman replied that it was Jaipur. Unadkat poked his teammate asking whether he was saying this because he was robbed in by Rajasthan Royals.

Stokes in past suffered a huge blow due to him getting tangled up and arrested due to a fight in Bristol. He was not seen playing in the Ashes. England Cricket Board freed him from match ban after he granted guilty in front of the board. With India tour of England starting soon in August, Stokes has a hearing to be done in the court and there is no surety of his participation in the first few tests. On the other hand, in IPL, RR would look forward to Ben Stokes to do wonders with his willow and bowling.
