Speaking to ANI upon his arrival, Yuzvendra Chahal spoke warmly about his long-standing friendship with Kuldeep and revealed he was looking forward to celebrating the big moment. “I am very excited for my brother’s marriage. I will dance a lot and enjoy,” Chahal said with a smile, hinting at lively celebrations ahead.

The wedding celebrations come shortly after India’s triumph in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Kuldeep, who was part of the squad during the successful campaign, is now set to begin a new chapter in his personal life. The left-arm wrist-spinner will marry his fiancée, Vanshika, on March 14 in the scenic hill station of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the iconic Welcomhotel The Savoy, one of the most well-known wedding venues in the region. Reports suggest that the couple had earlier got engaged in a private ceremony in Lucknow in June last year, attended only by close family members.

Like the engagement, the wedding is expected to remain a relatively private affair, though several prominent figures from the cricket fraternity are likely to attend. Among the expected guests are legendary former India captain Sunil Gavaskar and current international stars such as Rinku Singh, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma.

The celebrations follow India’s commanding victory in the T20 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where the hosts defeated the New Zealand national cricket team after posting a massive total of 255 runs. Reflecting on the triumph, Kuldeep expressed pride in the team’s effort and also shared a heartfelt message for Sanju Samson.

“It is an important victory. The tournament went very well for us, and we have been preparing for this for a long time,” Kuldeep Yadav said. “I have shared my cricketing journey with him since the Under-12s, and I am very happy to see him reap the rewards of his hard work over the years,” he added.
