Three-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders have officially unveiled their jersey for the 2026 season, introducing a design inspired by the theme “Lines of Legacy.” The concept celebrates the franchise’s most iconic moments while visually representing the journey that has shaped KKR over the years. The new jersey design pays tribute to several unforgettable highlights in the team’s history.

Among them is Brendon McCullum’s legendary unbeaten 158 in KKR’s opening match of the inaugural IPL season in 2008 — an innings that instantly defined the league’s entertainment value. Another memorable moment honoured in the design is Rinku Singh smashing five consecutive sixes in the final over of a dramatic IPL encounter, one of the most thrilling finishes the tournament has ever witnessed.
According to the franchise, each of these historic moments is represented through artistic lines integrated into the jersey. Together, these lines subtly form the team’s initials in an abstract linear style, symbolising the milestones that have built the identity of the Kolkata-based franchise.

“This season, those lines are not just remembered – they are woven into the jersey itself, allowing fans to wear a piece of the team’s story,” KKR said in an official statement while unveiling the design.

Each line represents a pivotal moment of brilliance that contributes to the energy and spirit defining our identity,” he said.

KKR will begin their IPL 2026 campaign with an away clash against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on March 29. Their first home fixture at the iconic Eden Gardens will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 2.
The franchise will be eager to bounce back strongly this season after finishing eighth in the 10-team standings last year, managing just four wins from 14 matches.
