With the Indian Premier League 2026 set to kick off, excitement is building rapidly in Bengaluru. As matches at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium are scheduled for March 28 and April 5, city authorities have rolled out detailed traffic and parking guidelines to manage the expected surge in crowd movement.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced strict no-parking zones around the stadium to ease congestion on match days. Key roads affected include Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, Raj Bhavan Road, T Chowdaiah Road, and Race Course Road. In addition, stretches of Kasturba Road, Lavelle Road, Vittal Mallya Road, Museum Road, and St. Mark’s Road will also face restrictions. Commuters are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly to avoid last-minute delays.
Parking restrictions extend to areas inside Cubbon Park as well. Spaces near King Road, Press Club, Bal Bhavan, and Fountain Road will remain off-limits for vehicles during match hours. This move is aimed at ensuring smooth pedestrian movement and minimising traffic bottlenecks around the venue.
