The newly unveiled ‘Shastri Stand’ was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished guests, including Sunil Gavaskar and India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, alongside other notable members of the cricketing fraternity. The event reflected Mumbai cricket’s tradition of honouring its legends and preserving their contributions for future generations.

In addition to Shastri’s recognition, the MCA also dedicated stadium entry gates to former India captain Diana Edulji, celebrated all-rounder Eknath Solkar, and elegant batter Dilip Sardesai.
