Sunrisers Hyderabad have finally found rhythm with the ball in IPL 2026, and much of the credit goes to their emerging pace duo, especially Sakib Hussain. Known for their explosive batting lineup featuring Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen, SRH had struggled to back it up with consistent bowling performances earlier this season. That narrative, however, has begun to shift with the introduction of uncapped pacers like Hussain and Praful Hinge, who played a crucial role in their turnaround, including a memorable win over Rajasthan Royals.

Hussain’s spell stood out not just for its control but also for its execution under pressure. Despite going wicketless initially, the Bihar-born pacer maintained tight lines, mixed his pace cleverly, and nailed yorkers with precision. His breakthrough moment came against Dube, a known finisher, when he delivered a pinpoint yorker that crashed into the stumps, sending the bails flying. It was a statement wicket—one that highlighted his potential and temperament.

While Hussain impressed with control, the supporting cast also stepped up. Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with two crucial wickets, while Eshan Malinga continued his consistent run, picking up three wickets in a sharp spell. With their bowling unit finally complementing their batting strength, SRH now look like a far more balanced and dangerous side in IPL 2026.

Shivam Dube came in to bat at no. 7 for the Chennai Super Kings, and he seemed a very crucial player in the death overs during the chase. Dube could not manage more than 21 runs off just 16 balls, while striking at 131.25.

The Sunrisers were not a promising side with the ball until the two uncapped pacers stepped in. However, Hinge was slammed for runs by young Mhatre before Nitish Kumar Reddy stepped in with the new ball from the other end. Reddy picked up two wickets in the innings, while Eshan Malinga also picked three wickets as he struck in almost every over of his spell except for the final over
