Punjab Kings all-rounder Marcus Stoinis delivered a breathtaking finishing performance against the Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2026 clash at New Chandigarh on April 28. Walking in during the 15th over with PBKS well placed but seeking a late surge, Stoinis turned the innings on its head with a stunning unbeaten 62 off just 22 deliveries, striking at an incredible 281.82.

The first six came off a slower short ball, which Stoinis pulled effortlessly over deep mid-wicket. Archer then went back to pace, but Stoinis was ready—launching a full delivery straight back over the bowler’s head for another maximum that sailed into the sightscreen. At 144/4 after 15 overs, PBKS were eyeing a competitive total. Thanks to Stoinis’ explosive finish, they surged to a commanding 222/4 in their 20 overs.

Earlier in the innings, Prabhsimran Singh laid the foundation with a composed 59 off 44 balls, while contributions from Shreyas Iyer (30), Priyansh Arya (29), and Cooper Connolly (30) ensured steady momentum through the middle overs. For the Royals, Yash Raj Punja was the standout bowler with figures of 2/41, while Archer and Nandre Burger picked up a wicket each.
