Last month, the wicketkeeper-batter turned to Yuvraj Singh for guidance, seeking to fine-tune both his technique and mindset during a training session in Mumbai.

Yuvraj, who has previously mentored young talents like Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, reportedly worked closely with Pant on balancing aggression with composure — an area that has come under scrutiny this season. While Pant’s returns with the bat have been inconsistent and LSG currently sit at the bottom of the points table, the effort to improve hasn’t gone unnoticed.

In a heartwarming gesture, Rishabh Pant recently sent a special gift to Yuvraj as a token of appreciation. The former India all-rounder shared the moment on Instagram, revealing a handwritten note attached to a golf club set. The note read: “Dear Yuvi paaji, thank you for your support and guidance. See you on the golf course. Love, RP.”

Yuvraj, clearly touched by the gesture, unboxed the gift and even tried a few shadow swings. In his trademark playful style, he jokingly called out other players he has mentored — including Shubman Gill, Prabhsimran Singh and Abdul Samad — for not matching Pant’s thoughtful gesture.
