Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Anukul Roy produced a sensational fielding effort to dismiss Axar Patel during the IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. Roy showcased outstanding awareness and athleticism near the boundary ropes to complete a brilliant catch off Vaibhav Arora’s bowling, sending DC skipper Axar back to the pavilion for a slow 11 off 22 balls.

The stunning effort quickly became one of the standout moments of the innings. After winning the toss, KKR elected to bowl first and made an impressive start with the ball. KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka added 49 runs for the opening wicket before Kartik Tyagi dismissed Rahul for a quick 23 off 14 deliveries.

DC’s innings lost momentum after the early breakthrough. Cameron Green removed Harshit Rana, while Sunil Narine dismissed Sameer Rizvi cheaply. Nissanka fought hard with a well-compiled half-century before becoming Roy’s first wicket of the evening.

Roy continued to make an impact by also dismissing Tristan Stubbs for just two runs. Later, his brilliant fielding effort to remove Axar further tightened KKR’s grip on the contest.

Ashutosh Sharma provided some late resistance with a fighting 39 off 28 balls, but Delhi struggled throughout the innings and eventually finished with a below-par total of 142/8 in 20 overs.
