Gujarat Titans are once again set to support the fight against cancer by wearing their special lavender jerseys during their IPL 2026 home clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 12. The initiative marks the fourth consecutive year that the franchise has organised the Lavender Jersey Game, using cricket as a platform to raise awareness and solidarity for those affected by cancer.

Speaking about the initiative, Colonel Arvinder Singh, Chief Operating Officer of Gujarat Titans, highlighted how the campaign has become a core part of the franchise’s identity.

“The Lavender Jersey Game has become an important part of our journey as a franchise over the last four years. As a team, we believe sport has the power to inspire communities and rally people behind causes that truly matter,” he said. “This initiative is our way of extending support to those affected by cancer and reinforcing that no one stands alone in this fight,” he added.

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill also expressed his support for the initiative and stressed the larger impact cricket can create beyond the field.

“As players, we understand the kind of impact cricket can have beyond the field. Wearing the lavender jersey is a small but meaningful gesture from all of us at Gujarat Titans to show our support for people and families affected by cancer,” Shubman Gill said. “We hope the game helps bring people together and strengthens the spirit of standing by one another,” he added.
