Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma shared a wholesome moment after GT’s dominant win over SRH in IPL 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The two Punjab teammates from their junior cricket days were seen hugging and chatting warmly after the match, with the clip quickly going viral across social media platforms.

The friendly exchange came after Gujarat Titans produced one of their most complete performances of the season, thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad by 82 runs to climb to the top of the IPL 2026 points table. GT adapted far better to the challenging Ahmedabad surface, both with the bat and ball, while SRH’s power-packed batting lineup completely collapsed under pressure.

Speaking after the match, Gill praised his team’s bowling effort and acknowledged the difficulty of batting on the surface. “Teams batting first have done well here, and 170 on this wicket was always going to be tricky. We knew if we bowled well, we would stay in the game,” Shubman Gill said.

SRH never looked comfortable during the chase and were eventually bowled out for just 86 in 14.5 overs. Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder dismantled the batting order with three wickets each, while Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj also made key breakthroughs.
For SRH, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain picked up two wickets apiece, but the batting collapse overshadowed their efforts as Hyderabad suffered one of their heaviest defeats in IPL history.
