The moment came in the very first over when experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar targeted young opener Priyansh Arya with a clever short-ball plan. Priyansh, who has struggled for consistency in recent matches, attempted to pull the delivery but failed to control the shot properly. The ball took a thick bottom edge and ballooned towards midwicket, where Romario Shepherd completed a simple catch.

Kohli was visibly fired up after the breakthrough and celebrated aggressively alongside stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma. Cameras also captured Kohli making hand gestures towards Jitesh, seemingly explaining how the trap had been set perfectly for Priyansh’s preferred pull shot.

The dismissal highlighted a growing concern in Priyansh Arya’s batting. Opposition teams have increasingly attacked him with deliveries aimed into the body, restricting his scoring areas and exposing a technical weakness against short-pitched bowling.
