The second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Sylhet produced another dramatic moment on Day 4 as tensions briefly flared between Mohammad Rizwan and Liton Das during Pakistan’s challenging chase of 437. The heated exchange took place in the 72nd over of Pakistan’s innings when Rizwan stopped spinner Taijul Islam midway through his delivery stride, citing movement near the sightscreen.

The interruption visibly frustrated Liton Das, who immediately confronted the Pakistan batter behind the stumps. “What is your problem? Can’t you bat here? You are continuously interrupting the bowler,” Liton was heard saying on the stump mic.

However, the drama did not end there. After the over, Rizwan appeared to approach the umpire regarding Bangladesh’s on-field behaviour. That prompted several Bangladesh players to mock the Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter in unison, even referencing the iconic Bollywood film Hera Pheri.

“Overacting ke liye hum 50 paise kaatenge,” one player joked on the stump mic, leaving fans amused on social media.

Despite the banter, Rizwan continued to anchor Pakistan’s chase with a fighting unbeaten 75. Pakistan closed Day 4 on 316/7, still requiring 121 runs to complete what would be a historic run chase and level the series.

Taijul Islam played a crucial role for Bangladesh, claiming 4/113 and dismissing key batters including Babar Azam and Salman Agha. Earlier, Pakistan had slipped to 162/5 before Rizwan and Salman Agha added a vital 134-run partnership to keep the visitors alive in the contest.

With just three wickets remaining, Bangladesh are now on the verge of securing their first-ever home Test series victory against Pakistan after already winning the opening Test.
