Gujarat Titans (GT) continued their dominant run in IPL 2026 with both bat and ball against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, May 21. After piling up a massive total of 229/4 in 20 overs, the Titans reduced CSK to complete chaos during the powerplay thanks to a fiery spell from Mohammed Siraj.

Chasing a daunting target of 230, CSK suffered an early collapse as Siraj ripped through the top order. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad walked in at No. 3 and looked positive from the outset, playing a couple of aggressive shots during his brief stay. However, the right-hander could not convert his start into a big innings and was dismissed for 16 off just seven deliveries in the third over.

Siraj struck again only moments later, removing Urvil Patel for a two-ball duck to leave Chennai struggling at 29/3 after just 2.4 overs. The Gujarat pacer’s ability to generate movement with the new ball completely put CSK under pressure in the chase.
