India and Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh has remained one of the most talked-about cricketers of IPL 2026, both for his performances on the field and his growing social media controversies. Over the past few weeks, the left-arm fast bowler has frequently found himself under the spotlight due to viral clips, online criticism, and heated fan reactions.

Now, Arshdeep has sparked fresh discussion after appearing to remove or archive a large number of posts from his official Instagram account. Fans quickly noticed that several old photos and reels, including a popular video featuring Virat Kohli from the 2025 Champions Trophy celebrations, were no longer visible.

At present, only 44 posts remain on his profile, suggesting that more than 200 uploads may have either been deleted or archived. While celebrities often refresh their social media pages for personal or professional reasons, Arshdeep’s move has drawn significant attention because it comes shortly after multiple online controversies.

Neither the cricketer nor his management team has issued an official statement explaining the sudden Instagram clean-up. Earlier this month, Arshdeep faced backlash over a viral clip involving Mumbai Indians batter Tilak Varma. During a casual interaction, the Punjab Kings pacer jokingly referred to Tilak as “Andhera” and asked whether he had applied sunscreen, while calling teammate Naman Dhir the “real glow of Punjab.”

Although the exchange appeared playful, many social media users criticised the comments and accused Arshdeep of promoting colourism. Interestingly, both Arshdeep and Tilak Varma have remained silent on the issue despite the growing debate online.
From a cricketing perspective, Arshdeep ended IPL 2026 as Punjab Kings’ leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets in 14 matches. However, his season was inconsistent overall, with control issues affecting his performances at crucial moments. PBKS eventually missed out on a playoff spot by just one point after suffering a dramatic late-season collapse.
