After the Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) poor IPL 2026 campaign, former India player turned commentator Aakash Chopra has picked Mukul Choudhary as one of their positives as well. He said that the middle-order batter can be converted into a top-quality finisher as well. However, LSG earned eight points from 14 games and finished last in IPL 2026.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, ‘Aakash Chopra,’ he said, “They have found a talent in Mukul Choudhary. I will count it as a positive. You can work on him. You can make him into a finisher of top quality. You don’t get top-quality finishers, and definitely not Indian, and they have two – Abdul Samad and Mukul Choudhary. If they upgrade them, the road ahead can be good.”

“Their pace battery – Prince Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Akash Singh, and Arjun Tendulkar also performed well in the one match he played. Mayank Yadav started coming in good form towards the end. Mohammad Shami has been absolutely outstanding. If you leave aside Avesh Khan, their fast bowling department did extremely well. So that’s a massive positive, which they can build on,” he shared again.

In the same video, Aakash Chopra also shared that Josh Inglis was among LSG’s gains from IPL 2026 as well.

“I think Josh Inglis’ inclusion, because there were a lot of discussions about that, as to why he was picked and what they would do with him, but Josh Inglis has been incredible. He is batting extremely well,” he said.

“Although he is not a natural opener, he has settled down comfortably there. So Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis can be an incredible combination. They have Matthew Breetzke and Aiden Markram as well. So it might not work out in the middle order, but Josh Inglis has been a big, big positive,” Chopra concluded.
