Following his maiden national call-up, Dubey shared an inspiring message for aspiring cricketers, stressing the importance of dedication, honesty and commitment towards one’s craft.

“My message has always been the same: don’t cheat your craft, whether it’s cricket, studies or anything else. Give 100 per cent and invest all your time into it. That’s the only way you’ll see results,” Harsh Dubey said while speaking to ANI.
The left-arm spinner has become one of Vidarbha’s standout performers over the last two domestic seasons. While his growing reputation has brought increasing expectations, Dubey revealed that he prefers to stay grounded and focus only on the present rather than looking too far ahead.

“Actually, I don’t have any set plans. I just take it one day at a time and focus on what I can achieve today. People have asked me about the 2027 World Cup as well, but I don’t want to pressure myself by thinking that far ahead. I just want to stay in the present and continue giving my best every day,” he explained.

Dubey’s breakthrough came during Vidarbha’s victorious 2024-25 Ranji Trophy campaign, where he created history by taking a record-breaking 69 wickets — the highest by any bowler in a single Ranji Trophy season. His remarkable consistency played a massive role in Vidarbha’s title-winning run and established him as one of the brightest young spin-bowling prospects in Indian cricket.
Across his first-class career so far, Dubey has claimed 133 wickets in just 27 matches while also contributing useful runs lower down the order, showcasing his value as a genuine all-rounder. The youngster also credited his parents for their sacrifices and unwavering support throughout his cricketing journey.
