Team India batting superstar Virat Kohli visited Vrindavan with his wife, Anushka Sharma, shortly after India’s recently concluded three-match ODI series against England. The couple paid a visit to the ashram of spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj, continuing a tradition they have followed on several occasions over the past few years.
A video of Kohli and Anushka walking barefoot through the streets of Vrindavan quickly went viral on social media, drawing admiration from fans. The couple was seen heading towards Premanand Ji Maharaj’s ashram to seek blessings following India’s England tour.
The visit came after an eventful ODI series in England, where India suffered a 2-1 series defeat. Kohli endured a disappointing start, managing just five runs in the opening ODI. However, the experienced batter responded in typical fashion by scoring back-to-back half-centuries, registering knocks of 65 and 74 in the remaining two matches.

The 37-year-old finished the series with 144 runs from three innings at an average of 48 and an impressive strike rate of 109.09. More importantly, Kohli etched his name into the record books by becoming the highest run-scoring Indian batter across all formats in England.

During the second ODI, Kohli surpassed former India captain Rahul Dravid’s tally of 2,645 runs in England with a boundary off Jofra Archer. The batting great now has 2,781 runs from 60 international matches on English soil, further strengthening his remarkable overseas legacy.
Kohli has been enjoying a rich vein of form in ODI cricket. In his last 10 innings, the batting maestro has recorded eight scores of fifty or more, including three centuries, highlighting his consistency ahead of a busy international calendar.

The former India captain is expected to return to action during India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The series begins at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram before moving to Guwahati and Mullanpur for the remaining two matches, where Kohli will look to continue his impressive run with the bat.
