Zimbabwe have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, with uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga earning his maiden call-up in the shortest format. The hosts have also recalled all-rounder Wessly Madhevere and fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri as they prepare to take on the reigning T20 World Cup champions.
The three-match series will be played entirely at the Harare Sports Club, with matches scheduled for July 23, 25 and 26. Tsiga, Madhevere and Nyamhuri replace Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa and Tashinga Musekiwa in Zimbabwe’s squad.
Although Tsiga is yet to play a white-ball international, the wicketkeeper-batter brings valuable experience, having already represented Zimbabwe in 10 Test matches. The upcoming series could mark his long-awaited T20I debut against a strong Indian side.

Madhevere returns to Zimbabwe’s T20I setup for the first time since July 2025. The experienced all-rounder has featured in 79 T20Is and recently represented Zimbabwe during the Test and ODI series against Bangladesh. Fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri also returns after recovering from the injury that forced him to miss part of the Bangladesh ODI series. Meanwhile, Tanaka Chivanga has retained his place after impressing as Nyamhuri’s replacement.

Sikandar Raza will continue to lead Zimbabwe following an encouraging run against Bangladesh. Under his captaincy, Zimbabwe registered a historic innings victory in the one-off Test and secured the ODI series 2-1 before narrowly losing the T20I series by the same margin.
India, meanwhile, enter the series looking to bounce back after disappointing T20I defeats against Ireland and England. With both teams eager to regain momentum, the Harare series promises to be an exciting contest.
