South African batting sensation Dewald Brevis lit up The Hundred 2026 with a sensational no-look six during London Spirit’s successful run chase against MI London in Match 12 at The Oval on Wednesday, July 29. The 22-year-old produced one of the standout moments of the tournament as London Spirit chased down a target of 165 with 11 balls to spare to register their first victory of the season.
The chase was built on a blistering opening partnership between Jonny Bairstow and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who powered London Spirit to 50 in just 18 balls. Pretorius stole the show early with a breathtaking knock of 64 off only 28 deliveries, smashing seven sixes and reaching his maiden The Hundred fifty in just 23 balls.

The spectacular moment came when MI London’s Olly Stone bowled a full delivery on the pads. Brevis stayed perfectly balanced, flicked the ball effortlessly over deep mid-wicket for a towering six, and remarkably didn’t even watch where it landed after making contact.
