Rohit Sharma has once again become the centre of attention, this time for a fresh new look that has gone viral during his family vacation in London. Days after brushing aside retirement speculation, the former India captain was spotted enjoying time with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and their children, with several pictures and videos from the trip drawing plenty of attention on social media. Rohit also met former India head coach Ravi Shastri during the visit, adding to the buzz around his London outing.

What caught fans most was Rohit’s clean-shaven appearance, which gave him a noticeably younger look. Dressed in a stylish black half-sleeve shirt with bold white patterns and matching black trousers, the veteran batter looked relaxed and refreshed as he strolled through the city. The change in appearance quickly became a talking point online, with supporters praising his sharp new style.
The buzz around Rohit’s appearance came shortly after a stretch of speculation over his international future. In the recent ODI series against England, he made a slow start with scores of 11 and 26 in the first two matches, which triggered widespread discussion about whether the team management was planning a transition.

However, Rohit responded in style at Lord’s with a commanding 138 off 110 balls, hitting 17 fours and five sixes to silence the rumours emphatically. Reports suggesting that the Lord’s ODI could be his final international appearance were firmly rejected by the BCCI. Secretary Devajit Saikia made it clear that no such decision had been discussed, while the board maintained that Rohit remains an important part of India’s ODI plans.

That clarification also came at a time when India are already looking ahead to major assignments, including the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2027, which will be staged across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

For now, Rohit is expected to return to India duty later this year when the team hosts West Indies for a three-match ODI series in September 2026. Before that, India will turn their attention to the two-Test series in Sri Lanka next month, as the side continues its build-up to a busy international calendar.
