The left-arm wrist-spinner has now picked up two wickets in each of his four matches in the competition, underlining his consistency in English conditions.

Bowling first in the Group B clash, Kuldeep finished with excellent figures of 2/23 from his full quota of 10 overs. He struck early by dismissing England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who managed just 12 runs from 39 deliveries, before removing Colin Ackermann for 26. His disciplined spell played a key role in restricting Durham to just 165, putting Yorkshire in a commanding position.

Kuldeep’s performances have reignited discussions about his absence from India’s playing XI during the recent white-ball tour of England. Although he did not feature in a single match, the 31-year-old has made a strong statement in county cricket. Across four One-Day Cup appearances, he has claimed eight wickets while maintaining an outstanding economy rate of just 4.18, making him one of the tournament’s most effective bowlers.
