Former India player turned commentator Aakash Chopra has shared a potential trade between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the IPL 2027 auction. He added that GT could offer Sai Kishore and Rahul Tewatia to CSK but would need Shivam Dube in return as well. Notably, GT finished as the runners-up in IPL 2026, suffering a five-wicket defeat to RCB in the final. CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs, finishing eighth on the points table as well.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, ‘Aakash Chopra,’ he said, “If they ask for Shivam Dube from them, as they won’t get a better batter than Shivam in the lower order, you can give them Sai Kishore, whom you don’t use, and Rahul Tewatia with him in return. I am not taking a fast bowler’s name because CSK don’t need fast bowlers. They have a line of fast bowlers. Sai Kishore is from Tamil Nadu. He captains a TNPL team as well.”

“They will have a little more variety in their spin department. They get Akeal Hosein and Noor Ahmad to do the job, but both are overseas. So maybe Sai Kishore plus Rahul Tewatia so that you also get a player who can do the job lower down the order, but the Gujarat Titans will need Shivam Dube in return. A deal that favours GT a little more because you won’t want to let Shivam Dube go,” he further added.
However, Aakash Chopra also added that the Gujarat Titans could ask for one of David Miller, Ashutosh Sharma, Sameer Rizvi, or Tristan Stubbs as part of a trade deal with the Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the IPL 2027 auction as well.
“Delhi Capitals – they have players to give. David Miller, who used to be Gujarat Titans’ pride and honor, Ashutosh Sharma, Sameer Rizvi, and Tristan Stubbs are there. You can ask for one of them. Whoever they get is fine because an overseas spot remains vacant for them. They can give an Indian pacer in return. You can like Gurnoor Brar. You can take a batter along with him. You can take a spinner like Jayant Yadav as well. We can give Sai Kishore to you. They can give plenty. So give us a top-quality middle-order batter in return for a spinner and a fast bowler,” Aakash Chopra concluded.
