Former India cricketer-turned-commentator Ajay Jadeja cheekily commented on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s sledging on day five of the first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. Sri Lanka suffered a 165-run defeat and are 0-1 down in the two-match Test series against India as well.

However, on Day 5, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal asked Niroshan Dickwella to play a few big shots in the second innings as well. He provoked the Sri Lankan batter into playing a false shot by saying that he would take him in the IPL as well and he fell for the trap and eventually got out as well.
“C’mon yaar. There were a lot of shots in the first innings. We need to see something. C’mon. I want to see. C’mon, show me. Hit him there (pointing towards deep square leg). Why not? You have power. We will, we will. 100%. C’mon, hit him there, I will take you in IPL,” Jaiswal said.

“How do I get to IPL? Now everybody knows. Hit him there and go to Jaiswal because he can take you to IPL. It’s nice, and it should be there. There’s nothing wrong with that conversation. The language is right. As long as you’re not crossing that line with the words you use or the topics you get into, this is fine. This is well within the spirit of the game and the rules. You need a little of this,” Ajay Jadeja said on Sony Sports Network.
However, Dickwella had scored 80 runs in the first innings. However, he could make only 10 off 17 balls in the second innings as well.
