India National Cricket Team all-rounder Axar Patel produced one of the standout fielding moments of the second T20I against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, September 15. While Axar finished the match with just one wicket, his spectacular diving catch to dismiss Rashid Khan became one of the biggest talking points of the Afghanistan innings.

The breakthrough came off Nitish Kumar Reddy’s bowling on the first ball of the final over. Rashid attempted to clear the leg side with a powerful shot across the line, but failed to get the desired timing. The ball went high towards deep square leg, giving Axar a difficult opportunity.

Axar reacted instantly, sprinting to his left and covering significant ground before throwing himself forward in a full-length dive. The Indian all-rounder kept his eyes on the ball and managed to get both hands underneath it just inches above the ground. His outstanding effort ensured that Rashid had to walk back after a dangerous cameo.
