A light-hearted video featuring former India opener Shikhar Dhawan and his wife Sophie Shine has gone viral on social media, with fans enjoying the couple’s playful exchange. The clip was reportedly filmed outside the set of Family Full House with Rohit Sharma, where Sophie jokingly questioned Dhawan about his love for her before making an unexpected discovery on his phone.
Sophie asked Dhawan, “You love me, right?” The former India batter immediately replied, “Of course, I love you!” However, she soon noticed that Dhawan’s phone wallpaper featured none other than his former opening partner, Rohit Sharma.
The discovery led to a humorous moment as Sophie jokingly challenged Dhawan to show more affection towards her than Rohit. Dhawan simply smiled and responded, “Yeah, sure,” leaving those around him amused. The clip quickly gained attention online, with fans viewing the wallpaper as another reminder of the close friendship shared by Dhawan and Rohit.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan formed one of the most successful opening combinations in ODI cricket. The pair were brought together as India’s opening duo by MS Dhoni ahead of the 2013 Champions Trophy and immediately made their presence felt. Their first major partnership came against South Africa in Cardiff, where they added 127 runs for the opening wicket. From there, the duo became a regular feature at the top of India’s ODI batting order for several years.
Between 2013 and 2022, Rohit and Dhawan opened together in more than 115 ODIs and accumulated around 5,100 runs at an average of approximately 45.5. They also recorded 18 century partnerships, placing them second on the all-time list for ODI opening pairs behind Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly.

Dhawan’s attacking approach complemented Rohit’s ability to combine elegant strokeplay with controlled innings-building. Their partnership produced several memorable performances in bilateral series and major international tournaments.
One of their most impressive efforts came against Pakistan during the 2018 Asia Cup. The pair put together an unbeaten 210-run opening partnership, with both batters scoring centuries. They also shared a 193-run stand against Australia in Mohali in 2019.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan also shared plenty of laughs during Family Full House with Rohit Sharma. Host Maniesh Paul asked the former teammates about their single days and jokingly questioned who had attracted more female attention. Rohit picked Dhawan when asked who had more female fans. Dhawan, however, turned the question into a compliment for Rohit, saying Indian girls preferred “cute looks” and describing Rohit as cute.
Rohit immediately recognised the diplomatic response and laughed, saying Dhawan was giving “bada diplomatic answer.” When Maniesh Paul teased Rohit for appearing shy, he clarified that he was actually laughing at Dhawan’s carefully worded answers. The exchange offered fans another glimpse into the strong friendship between the two former India opening partners.
