India T20I captain Shreyas Iyer has climbed to a career-best seventh position in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings after his sensational century against the West Indies. Meanwhile, ODI captain Shubman Gill has strengthened his position at the top of the ODI batting rankings following his record-breaking double century. Iyer produced a stunning performance in the first T20I against the West Indies in Lucknow, smashing an unbeaten 102 off just 43 deliveries.

His explosive innings included 10 fours and six sixes and played a major role in India’s dominant eight-wicket victory. The century has helped Iyer make a huge jump of 18 places to seventh in the latest ICC rankings. He is now India’s third-highest-ranked T20I batter, behind Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma.
Ishan continues to occupy the No. 1 spot, while Abhishek remains second. Tilak Varma is ranked 10th, meaning India now have four batters inside the ICC T20I top 10. Youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also made notable progress, moving up eight places to 46th.

Rashid replaced Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed, whose returns of 0/29 and 1/29 in the Asian Games semi-final and final were not enough to retain the top spot. Rashid’s dominance at the summit is also reflected in his remarkable time spent as the world’s No. 1 T20I bowler, having held the position for more than twice as long as any other player.
India spinner Axar Patel has also made a significant jump, rising 16 places to seventh. His consistent performances included two wickets in each of his three matches during the past week. In the ODI rankings, Shubman Gill remains firmly at the top after his remarkable unbeaten 223 against the West Indies in Guwahati.

Former India captain Virat Kohli has slipped from second to third, while KL Rahul has returned to the ODI top 10. Rahul climbed seven places to 10th after scoring a brilliant century in the third ODI against the West Indies.
