Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw and actress Akriti Agarwal have reportedly reconciled just three weeks after calling off their engagement. Akriti recently addressed their separation on Instagram, explaining that the opinions of people close to her influenced her decision to end the relationship.
The content creator admitted that she made the decision without having an honest conversation with Shaw. However, the couple has since discussed their differences, resolved their issues, and decided to give their relationship another chance.
In her Instagram clarification, Akriti Agarwal took responsibility for her decision and the hurt it caused. “When I called off our engagement, I let the opinions of people close to me — who seemed to know our relationship better than we did — influence how I saw my fiancé and our relationship. I feel I was misguided, and I made a decision without giving us the honest conversation we deserved,” she wrote.

Akriti further explained that the couple had spoken openly and chosen to move forward together. She added that their future would be guided by mutual understanding, trust, and love, while requesting privacy and respect as they begin a new chapter.

Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal got engaged on March 8, 2026. Following their reported split on September 17, Shaw archived almost all his Instagram posts, leaving only one visible. However, he has since restored most of his posts, including photographs featuring Akriti, further drawing attention to their relationship.
Meanwhile, Shaw has been focusing on his cricketing commitments. The 26-year-old batter was appointed captain of Maharashtra for their Ranji Trophy 2026-27 opener against Services in the absence of regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had been involved with India A during their one-day series against Australia A.
