Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has become the centre of attention on social media after an alleged LinkedIn account in his name went viral. The profile has attracted thousands of followers, with fans eager to learn more about the former India captain’s professional interests beyond cricket. However, its authenticity remains unconfirmed.

The profile reportedly identifies Kohli as a professional athlete associated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It also lists his business interests, including his role as an investor in sportswear brand Agilitas since 2025 and co-founder of one8world since 2026.

Despite the growing attention, several details have raised questions about whether the account is genuine. Unlike the LinkedIn profiles of other prominent Indian cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar and Rishabh Pant, the account does not appear to carry a verification badge. It also reportedly lacks a LinkedIn Premium subscription.

The profile has amassed more than 14,000 followers, with the number continuing to increase as discussions spread across social media. However, neither Kohli nor his management team has officially confirmed whether the account belongs to the cricketer.

Kohli has established a strong presence in the business world alongside his successful international cricket career. He has invested in Agilitas, a sportswear company, and co-founded one8world as part of his expanding commercial interests. The Agilitas brand was also launched at a high-profile event in New Delhi earlier this year.

The alleged LinkedIn profile features a statement outlining a broader vision for Indian sport, highlighting the country’s potential to produce elite athletes and develop brands capable of competing internationally.

“I have always wanted to see an India where every sport is followed, celebrated and played. Today, that vision feels closer than ever. A new generation is proving that India can produce world-class athletes and build brands for the global stage,” the post reads.

The statement also reportedly connects Kohli’s business interests with a larger sports ecosystem encompassing manufacturing, consumer brands and distribution.

For now, fans will have to wait for official confirmation regarding the profile. Until Kohli or his representatives verify its authenticity, the account’s claims about his professional ambitions should be treated with caution.
