Content creator Palvi Kothari Jain went viral after being accidentally struck by a baseball hit by Indian cricket star Suryakumar Yadav during a Major League Baseball (MLB) event in Mumbai on Saturday, October 24. The incident caught the attention of the Indian batter and his wife, Devisha Shetty, who expressed concern about her injury on social media. Despite the painful experience, Jain decided to keep the ball as a memorable souvenir.
What was supposed to be a fun date with her husband at her first-ever baseball game turned into an unexpected experience at the MLB showcase held at Andheri Sports Complex. Jain later shared a video on Instagram showing the aftermath of the incident, which quickly attracted attention online.

As MLB’s ambassador in India, he represented the New York Yankees in a Home Run Derby-style event that brought together cricket stars and international baseball personalities.

Stadium medical staff immediately attended to her, providing an ice pack and applying pain-relief spray to help manage the swelling.
Jain documented the incident in a video shared on Instagram, adding a humorous caption about how her husband had convinced her to attend the event. “Husband: Let’s go to this first-ever baseball event, it will be fun. The Fun.”
Her post resonated with social media users, with the unexpected incident generating thousands of views and reactions across Instagram and X.
The event marked a significant moment for baseball in India, combining sporting action with music and entertainment. Several Indian cricketers, including Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Kashvee Gautam and Radha Yadav, also participated, swapping their cricket equipment for baseball gear. International baseball stars such as Nick Swisher, Jake Arrieta and Adrián González added further appeal to the showcase.
