India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan produced a memorable moment during his explosive innings in the fifth T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday, November 1. The left-handed batter entertained fans with a trademark shot associated with legendary former India captain MS Dhoni, successfully executing the iconic helicopter shot for a boundary.

The incident occurred on the third delivery of the ninth over, bowled by New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner. Kishan went deep into his crease, got on the back foot and whipped a full delivery around middle stump towards the mid-wicket boundary. Although the shot did not travel over the ropes for a six, the execution was impressive and brought back memories of Dhoni’s signature stroke.
Kishan’s shot quickly became one of the highlights of his outstanding batting performance as India looked to finish the five-match T20I series on a strong note.
