During the 34th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Indore, Kings XI Punjab’s Chris Gayle hit a monstrous six against Mitchell McClenaghan in the powerplay.

Rohit Sharma, captain of Mumbai Indians, had won the toss and chose to field. They brought back Evin Lewis in place of Kieron Pollard. Kings XI Punjab made three changes to their line-up, bringing in Yuvraj Singh, Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel in place of Aaron Finch, Manoj Tiwary and Barinder Sran.

Kings XI sent in their regular opening batsmen in Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle. The duo started on a positive note in the first match on their second home ground. For Mumbai Indians, Mitchell McClenaghan took the new ball.

Bowling his third over, the sixth of the innings, McClenaghan bowled a back of a length delivery to Gayle, which he monstrously hit not just on the leg side but out of the stadium as well. Watch the full video:
