During the 45th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Delhi, Delhi Daredevils’ Sandeep Lamichhane, who made his IPL debut tonight, found Parthiv Patel wanting in front of the stumps in his second over.

After Virat Kohli won the toss and put the home team in to bat, Delhi Daredevils scored 181-4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Daredevils’ innings was powered by Rishabh Pant in the middle overs and Abhishek Sharma in to slog overs.

In the second innings, Shreyas Iyer, captain of Delhi Daredevils, started proceedings with Lamichhane. He gave a paltry six runs in his first over.

On the fourth delivery of his second delivery, Lamichhane bowled a fuller delivery to Patel which turned in on him. After the batsman missed the sweep shot and the ball struck on his pads, he was bound to walk back to the pavilion. Patel ended up scoring 6 (8) with the help of one four.
