While Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is focusing to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2018, franchise co-owner Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan cheers up the boys with a strong message. Later, Shah Rukh Khan supports his wife too.

Currently, KKR is at the third position of the ongoing IPL 2018 points table with 14 points in 13 games. They have won seven games and lost six other games in this season. They have left another game in the round-robin system and if KKR wins that game then they will surely qualify for the playoffs. Their last game is against the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Hyderabad (Deccan) on this Saturday night (May 19).

However, if they fail to win their last round-robin game, they can still qualify for the playoffs but then they may need to have a higher net run-rate.

Kolkata had an important game on Tuesday night against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) where they claimed an important 6-wicket victory with 12 balls to spare.

KKR captain Dinesh Karthik sent the visitors to bat first after winning the toss. While the visitors’ openers had a stormy start, KKR bowlers brought back the team into the game with some quick wickets. Due to RR had a massive middle-order batting collapse, they were bowled out for just 142 runs in 19 overs.

Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav was the hero among the KKR bowlers who had an impressive bowling figure of 4-0-20-4.

In reply, KKR comfortably chased down that target in 18 overs after losing their top four batsmen. While the opener Sunil Narine started their chasing brilliantly by scoring 21-run in the first over, other batsmen maintained the momentum till the end.

After this victory, KKR’s destination to qualify for the playoffs has in themselves hands. While a victory means a guarantee for their play-offs qualifications, Gauri Khan tried to energize the KKR team by posting on her Twitter account, “Come on @KKRiders! Let’s win the next one …”
