In the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2018, Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan provided a remarkable all-round performance to secure his team Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) spot to the final. After watching that performance, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar claimed that the Afghanistan youngster is the best T20 spinner in the world.

Last night in the Qualifier 2, SRH beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 14 runs at Eden Gardens (Kolkata). While SRH put a total of 174/7 in 20 overs, they restricted KKR to 160/9 at the end of 20 overs. Rashid Khan was the key performer for SRH in every aspect.

When the team was under deep trouble as SRH was on 138/7 in 18.1 overs, the 19-year-old rescued them with a blistering unbeaten knock of 34-run off just 10 balls. With the 340 strike-rates, Rashid hit 2 fours and 4 sixes.

After that, Rashid Khan again bowled an effective spell as his bowling figure was 4-0-19-3. At one stage, the target was easily achievable for KKR as they had a powerful start. But, Rashid Khan’s spell once again changed the game scenario largely. In that spell, Rashid Khan dismissed the set batsman Chris Lynn and the two other very important batsmen Robin Uthappa and Andre Russell for very cheaply.

But the most important one was the Nitish Rana’s run-out dismissal at the crucial stage which was the big game changer. Once again, Rashid Khan was the reason of that run-out as his superb throw helped the wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha to break the stump timely.

Without any doubt, Rashid Khan received the Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round performances. While the world cricket is praising for his superb effort, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar came out with a nice post.

Tendulkar tweeted on his official account, “Always felt @rashidkhan_19 was a good spinner but now I wouldn’t hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he’s got some batting skills as well. Great guy.”
