After facing a huge disgrace in the World Cup 2015, England cricket team has turned themselves into one of the best limited-overs teams. While their batting witnessed a drastic change, the emergence of the bowlers has also played a crucial part in it. The players’ participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has also played a crucial role in their emergence and it was no surprise when their gun player Joe Root put his name up in the IPL 2018 auction this year. However, another star English player has expressed his wish to play in the cash-rich league.

Adil Rashid, in his column for Sky Sports, has expressed his desire in the T20 extravaganza, he wrote, “The IPL is something I’d like to play in one day, but that’s something for the future. I thought the Indian batsmen picked me well during the T20 series – the googly or whatever variation – but I was still pleased with how I bowled in the series, and in the T20 against Australia at Edgbaston.”

Adil also opined that the England cricket team needed to play more against the teams like India to improve going forward in the shorter formats. He said, “They are one of the best T20 sides in the world – they have the best domestic competition in the world in the IPL, and the best players. The more we play against these big teams, like India, the better we will get as well.”
