In the recently concluded two-match Youth Test series between the hosts Sri Lanka U19 and the visitors India U19, the 18-year-old Arjun Tendulkar made his debut in the Youth Test cricket. He played both the games where the left-arm pacer picked up a total of three wickets (best figure 1/32) and the left-handed lower-order batsman scored 0 & 14 runs. However, India U19 won both the matches by an innings and also won the Youth Test series by 0-2.
However, Arjun has missed getting a chance in Mumbai’s senior team’s off-season fitness camp as he has not been named in the 34-member list.
