The Indian team has finally reduced England lead in the ongoing 5-match Test series from 2-0 to 2-1 after registering a humungous 203-run victory in the Nottingham Test on Wednesday. Now, it’s difficult to conclude that which team has an advantage while going into the fourth Test in Southampton, is it India who has made a strong comeback or England, who are actually having a lead in the series. Indian skipper Virat Kohli dedicates Team India’s victory to the Kerala flood victims.
While coming to the field on the final day of the Test match India needed just one wicket to registered their seventh Test win on the English soil in the history of the game. However, it took only ten minutes and 17 balls to wrap up the game and show their dominance over the hosts. It’s richly deserved victory for India, especially, after considering their morale after a mauling at Lord’s. However, according to the reports of ABP news, the Indian cricketers have won the hearts of the fans by donating their match fees to the relief efforts in Kerala according to ABP News.
The God’s Own Country (as they say) is going through a tough phase and most of the people in India have stood up for them. The Indian players are paid a whopping amount of ₹15 Lakhs per Test match and if the total amount is calculated, they will be donating a massive amount of ₹2 Crore approximately.

Kohli understood that the situation in Kerala is not so good and dedicated the victory to the flood victims in the state. He asserted, “We, as a team, want to dedicate this win to the flood victims in Kerala. This is our bit we can do as the Indian cricket team. A tough time there.”
Even a lot of people from the cricketing fraternity have taken a step forward to help the flood victims in Kerala. Sanju Samson started it all as he donated an amount of ₹15 Lakhs to the Chief Minister Relief Fund and the amount was handed over to the Kerala CM by his father and brother as he was in Vijayawada to play.
Reportedly, the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar also donated ₹10 Lakhs even as many of the former players also urged the fans to make an effort from their end. The relief efforts are still in progress as the SOS alert in Kerala is still on.
