The India skipper, Virat Kohli has been able to grab a lot of eyeballs as usual as he is again on his run-churning spree in the ongoing ODI series against the Windies. Meanwhile, someone seems to be upset with his records, and he’s none other than former England cricketer, Nick Compton.

In the ongoing series so far, Virat has scored three consecutive hundreds in the first three ODI games. The visitors also played some excellent cricket, as they level the five-match ODI series 1-1. However, Compton has faced the heat on the micro-blogging site Twitter for trying to degrade Kohli’s achievement.

Moreover, Windies is not playing with their best side as their crucial players such as Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis opted out and also Andre Russell is injured. Meanwhile, the young talents had put up some great show, as they tie one game and won the third ODI as well.

In spite of such results on the paper, the bowlers didn’t seem to have any solution for Kohli as he has already scored 404 runs so far in three matches and will like to continue his excellent form in the remaining two games.

However, Nick Compton tried to take a dig at Virat Kohli’s achievement, as he questioned Windies credentials as an ODI team. He replied, “Against the West Indies?” in a way that he is trying to say the achievement is not something special because he had made it against a weak Carribean squad. While the bowling was not the best, no feat can be undermined in cricket at the highest level and scoring three consecutive centuries is not a joke for any batsman at international arena against any team.

Furthermore, Kohli has scored ten centuries in 2018. Previously, the Indian legend, Sachin Tendulkar slammed the world record of scoring twelve tons in 1998 and the Indian skipper is well on the line of breaking it, with minimum 5 more innings to go. Moreover, Virat recently became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. He has so far played 214 ODI matches scoring 10,183 runs averaging 59.90. He also slammed 38 centuries, and 48 half-centuries in ODIs.

When one of the Kohli fans abused Nick for his comment, he replied, “I know my favorite word it’s what I think of Kohli.”
