After outplaying the Windies in the recently concluded five-match ODI series by 3-1, Team India took a 1-0 lead in the ongoing three-match T20I series and now they are looking to seal the series in Lucknow. After winning the toss, the Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite decided to bowl first keeping the dew factor in mind. However, Carlos’ decision wasn’t justified as the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan made a 100+ runs opening partnership.
The Windies pacer Oshane Thomas became the talk of the town after the series opener as he dismissed both the openers cheaply and he managed to keep them quiet in the second game as well but in the fifth over of the game, Rohit and Shikhar said enough is enough as they smashed 17 runs in the over.
On the second ball of the over, Sharma brought his back leg away as Thomas chased him with a 149kph delivery, but the Indian skipper still managed to swing it over the mid-off for a six, despite not getting the middle of the bat. However, the next one was a no.-ball from Thomas and Dhawan smashed a hip-high short free-hit ball over the mid-wicket boundary for a four. He fetched the 145kph ball from outside off, but if Thomas had got it to rise he could have had the opener in trouble.

However, on the alternate delivery, Dhawan smashed another four on the 147kph half-volley outside off. He strides forward and belts it through the line. Here is the video of the happenings:
