Team India is currently locking horns with Australia in the first match of the three-match T20I series at the Gabba, Brisbane. After winning the toss, the Indian skipper decided to bowl first citing the chances of rain later on in the game. As compared to the 12-member squad announced on the eve of the game, Yuzvendra Chahal was the one to be dropped as Kuldeep Yadav played the game.

In the seventh over of the innings the flamboyant Australian batsman Chris Lynn smashed 3 sixes off Khaleel Ahmed and hence, the hosts reached the total of 75/2 at the end of the 10th over despite having a rough start in the game. Lynn’s dismissal was the only target for the Indian team at that point and their premier bowler, Kuldeep responded affirmatively.

However, India’s worries were increased after that as the ‘big show’ Glenn Maxwell was at the crease and he smashed three consecutive sixes to the young Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya. On the second ball of the 14th over, Maxwell smashed a ball on the second tier as Pandya dropped a short ball on the leg stump line and Maxwell gets deep in the crease and pumps it high over deep midwicket!

On the very next ball, the big show smashed another one as it was a length ball with not turn and the all-rounder found it easy to swing his bat to clear the long-on boundary. Krunal didn’t learn his lesson as bowled another length ball outside off and Maxwell cleared the long-on boundary for another six.
