Afghanistan young cricketer Rashid Khan again steals the limelight for his batting and this time for playing a perfect helicopter shot like the star Indian wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni.
It was the 18th match between Maratha Arabians and Pakhtoons at Sharjah in the ongoing T10 league season 2 on Wednesday (November 29). Rashid Khan’s team Maratha Arabians were sent to bat first after losing the toss.
Coming to bat at no.7, the 20-year-old Rashid Khan played an important knock of 21 off just 7 balls before losing his wicket through a run-out on the very final ball of the innings. The right-handed batsman hit two fours and two sixes in that innings but the special point of that innings was to play a perfect helicopter shot for the maximum.
The former Indian skipper and present Indian limited-overs wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni is famous for this kind of shot as he is the master to hit this kind of shots properly. After observing his mastery, few players have tried to play this kind of shots on a few occasions.
Coming to Rashid Khan’s helicopter shot, it was the final ball of the ninth over when the right-handed batsman hit this shot. Facing the left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan, Rashid played a perfect helicopter shot to the leg side for a sixer.

In that game, Maratha Arabians managed to score 125/6 in 10 overs. Najibullah Zadran scored the highest runs in that innings by playing the 36 runs knock off just 14 balls (2 fours and 3 sixes). Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal (25 runs off 15 balls) and Brendan Taylor (23* runs off 12 balls) also played some important knocks in that innings.
However, they failed to win that game as Pakhtoons chased down the target in 9.2 overs after losing only two wickets. Colin Ingram played an important role in that victory by playing an unbeaten knock of 42 runs off 13 balls (2 fours and 5 sixes). Also, the opener Cameron Delport guided well for this victory by remaining not out on 36 off 23 balls (2 fours and 2 sixes). The no.3 batsman Shafiqullah played a 35-run knock off 16 balls (only four and 4 sixes) before getting bowled out.
