Rashid is set to feature in the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL) for Adelaide Strikers. Last year, he also helped them to win the title as well and now has extended his contract with the Strikers. The flamboyant leg-spinner is the X-factor which every team would love to possess and he will be the key for their success even this year while his batting is an added weapon now for the Afghan cricketer.

The young Afghan leg-spinner was trending on social media recently after playing the MS Dhoni-invented helicopter shot quite a few times. Even the former Australian cricketer Dean Jones was delighted to watch him superbly bat while playing for the Durban Heat during the ongoing MSL. To extend the conversation, Rashid expressed his excitement to play the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
