Recently, a media report is claiming that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has kept in waiting for an interview request to one former Australian cricketer.
According to the Mirror, during the recent Test series between the hosts Australia and the visitors India, a former Australian cricketer has asked the Indian skipper Kohli for an interview. However, Kohli was very straightforward as he said that the rules are the same for everyone – whether he would be a normal journalist or a cricket legend.

According to the Indian Link, a website run by expat Indians, Kohli said, “Only when they want something, they [certain ex-players] will speak to you a certain way. But it doesn’t matter to me if I’m talking to you or someone who has 15,000 runs, at the end of the day it’s a human interaction. I’m not going to go above and beyond just because you have 15,000 runs. They don’t see it that way, but I do.”

While the tour has completed already, that interview hasn’t published yet. After levelling the three-match T20I series by 1-1, India won the four-match Test series (1-2) and three-match ODI series (1-2) of this tour.
Talking about that former Australian cricketer, who has requested Kohli for an interview, Mirror has pointed out the former two Australian World Cup-winning skippers Steve Waugh or Ricky Ponting. However, the report added that both the Australian skippers haven’t responded yet on this matter.

On the other hand, Sportzwiki has claimed that the former Australian captain Mark Taylor was that former Australian cricketer who approached Kohli for an interview.
The 30-year-old Indian skipper Virat Kohli is on his top-form with the bat. Currently, the right-handed top-order batsman is the no.1 Test and ODI batsman. In the recent historic Test series victory in Australia, Kohli was the third most run-scorer after scoring 282 runs in seven innings with an average of 40.28. He had one century and one half-century in that series.
After then, in the most recently concluded ODI series, Kohli played one match-winning century knock during the Adelaide ODI.
