India wicket-keeper MS Dhoni has added a fresh feather into his already distinguished cap as he became the first ever wicketkeeper in international cricket to affect 100 stumpings in ODIs during the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.

On the last ball of the 45th over of the Sri Lanka innings off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhoni did the stumping of Dananjaya. And with this dismissal, Dhoni set a new world record which was previously held by Sri Lankan great Kumara Sangakkara.

Earlier, he was tied at 99 stumpings in ODIs with Sangakkara. However, Sangakkara took 404 ODIs to reach this figure, while Dhoni now has 100 stumpings in just 301 ODIs. He has also become the only wicketkeeper to effect 100 stumpings in ODIs.
