Kohli played another brilliant knock of 44 off 45 balls in the Hyderabad ODI. He played some awesome shots before he got dismissed by Adam Zampa in the 17th over as his innings comprised of six fours and a six. There was one flick on the leg side, right out of the textbook which got legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar excited. An elated Gavaskar went on to call the shot, “Class written all over it.” He was animated while saying it he also went on to repeat the word letter by letter.

Here is the full commentary while Kohli flicks an overpitched ball on middle stump to the leg side of Coulter Nile while still on zero.

Kohli stitched a crucial 76-run-stand with Rohit to get India’s chase back on track after the Men in Blue lost Shikhar Dhawan early in the piece. However, after Kohli’s dismissal, India was reeling at 80/2.

Earlier in the game, in his 100th ODI, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch made the correct call at the toss in the first ODI against India as Australia elected to bat first in Hyderabad. On the other hand, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli felt the exact opposite, saying the ball would come on nicely and that he would have bowled first anyway.
