Currently, the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with each other at the PCA’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. After winning the toss, the home skipper, Ravichandran Ashwin decided to bowl first and his bowlers didn’t disappoint as well, as they got the crucial wicket of Jonny Bairstow in the second over of the match itself.
During the toss, the SRH skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar revealed that they have made no changes to their squad. On the other hand, KXIp made a couple of changes to their playing XI Murugan Ashwin and Andrew Tye made way for Ankit Rajpoot and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The change yielded benefits when Mujeeb dismissed Bairstow.
After Bairstow’s dismissal, David Warner added 49 runs for the 2nd over in almost 10 overs. They played very slow as they amassed just 27 runs in the powerplay overs. KXIp bowlers were bowling some tight lines which led to Vijay’s wicket as well. After his dismissal, Mohammad Nabi joined Warner and they both added just 24 runs for the 33rd wicket before Nabi getting out in the 14th over in one of the most unlucky ways possible.

Ashwin was bowling the over and on the second ball of the over, he delivered a length ball around off stump to Warner, who stayed on the back foot and smashed it back at the bowler. In order to stop the ball, Ashwin went low to his right and managed to get a hand to it and as soon as the ball stopped, the KXIP skipper grabbed it to flick it with his left hand on to the stumps at the non-striker’s end and unfortunately, Nabi was way too out of his crease, which led to him going back to the pavilion.
